Jon Flaming to Exhibit Work at David Dike Fine Art, Sept 12.

On Saturday, September 12, David Dike Fine Art will open an exhibit of work by Dallas artist Jon Flaming. This show focuses on work executed by Jon over the past 10 years and includes paintings as well as 3-dimensional pieces - or "constructions". The show, which coincides with Gallery Walk, opens September 12 and runs through October 3, 2009. A preview of the collection will start at 2 pm on Saturday, followed by an opening cocktail reception from 5-8 pm. Stop by if you're in town.

New Home for Rich Cowboy (Oil Man)

This is a painting I did about 10 years ago - part of a series of paintings called "Rich Cowboy". It once hung in the lobby of the historic Stoneleigh Hotel in Downtown Dallas. It recently found a home in the living room of the newly constructed, mission style, Lomo Blanco lofts in Dallas. Lomo Blanco is a really cool project by my good friend Brett Johnston.
